Boots
I've been wearing boots to work, for the walk from the train station into the office and also the reverse route after work ends. It's been nice.
I like them so much actually, that I have been wearing them more than for just the quick jaunt to/from work. I don't really take them off until I have meetings or need to see someone in the office. This is usually around 10:30 AM. Then I slip them on when I go out to lunch. When I come back, I keep them on again until I need to see someone. That's usually around 2:30 PM.
It's kind of becoming a problem, as I feel that I now have the liberty to wear them all day long. It's no longer that I just keep them on around my desk. I'll actually walk around with them on to the vending machine, to the candy bin, even when I'm chatting with Meliss at her desk.
I guess the main point to take away from this story is that I really like my boots. And also, I haven't been interacting with people at work much these days.
I was in Detroit for a little while for work. The worst part of it all was that I had to pack Parrot in my luggage, as it is not socially acceptable to carry him along with me while traveling with co-workers. Look at him:

I promise I did not tamper with him, this is EXACTLY what he looked like when I opened my bag. he's clinging on for dear life! lole that was a little bit funny.
here's my cousin with Parrot on our cruise (he's watching tv and didnt pay much attention when i put Parrot in his arms):

when i'm a mom, i'm pretty sure i'll be obese and i'm pretty sure i'll wear pants like this:

Nostalgia!: Reflections on things I miss:

whoa that's a large picture. ...but not as large as the passion i hold for this fantastic television series. What was more devastating than the cancellation of this show? I just don't know.
Yee Family Trivia: Today's trivia will be a quote from my mother at the dinner table.
mom: some people actually go to school to learn...I'm so glad none of my children are like that. |
