Here is the answer

Oops, I think maybs I took too long to answer my last posting.

Look!

It is orange!  Great job to whoever guessed that.  And whose shoe is it?!

I like those shoes nicky.

Today it is a special day in the office.  It is a jeans day where we do not have to donate money to wear jeans.  We are to wear jeans and wear our "bears gear" to "show our team pride".  It is unfortunate because I do not have bears gear.  I just have jeans.  Which I am wearing.

People asked, "Why aren't you wearing bears gear".  I said "well, I don't have any" and they said "why not at least wear navy blue and orange" (I am wearing a pink sweater today) so I said "I think maybe i will just slip my boots on for the rest of the day.  They are brown, which is a bear-like color.  This is how I will show my pride".  Then they walk away.  So I have my boots on today.  They are comfs.

Here is my new little baby cousin, Noah.  Isn't he adores.

Here is my little cousin Cameron, fighting with some other little boy.  Aren't they adores.

Here is a picture of our neighbor Parker when he came over to play.  He was bored.  Isn't he hilare?!

And the Mrs. too.

Yee family trivia:  When my mom's family lived in Hong Kong, our grandma was head nurse at the Baptist Hospital.  We learned these things at her 81st birthday celebration last month.

Boots

I've been wearing boots to work, for the walk from the train station into the office and also the reverse route after work ends.  It's been nice.

I like them so much actually, that I have been wearing them more than for just the quick jaunt to/from work.  I don't really take them off until I have meetings or need to see someone in the office.  This is usually around 10:30 AM.  Then I slip them on when I go out to lunch.  When I come back, I keep them on again until I need to see someone.  That's usually around 2:30 PM.

It's kind of becoming a problem, as I feel that I now have the liberty to wear them all day long.  It's no longer that I just keep them on around my desk.  I'll actually walk around with them on to the vending machine, to the candy bin, even when I'm chatting with Meliss at her desk.

I guess the main point to take away from this story is that I really like my boots.  And also, I haven't been interacting with people at work much these days.

I was in Detroit for a little while for work.  The worst part of it all was that I had to pack Parrot in my luggage, as it is not socially acceptable to carry him along with me while traveling with co-workers.  Look at him:

I promise I did not tamper with him, this is EXACTLY what he looked like when I opened my bag.  he's clinging on for dear life!  lole that was a little bit funny.

here's my cousin with Parrot on our cruise (he's watching tv and didnt pay much attention when i put Parrot in his arms):

when i'm a mom, i'm pretty sure i'll be obese and i'm pretty sure i'll wear pants like this:

Nostalgia!:  Reflections on things I miss:

whoa that's a large picture.  ...but not as large as the passion i hold for this fantastic television series.  What was more devastating than the cancellation of this show?  I just don't know.

Yee Family Trivia:  Today's trivia will be a quote from my mother at the dinner table.

mom:  some people actually go to school to learn...I'm so glad none of my children are like that.

A photo contest

It is slow in the office.  This is because everyone is taking their vacation days and celebrating the holidays.  I will take my vacation when everyone returns to the office, in January.  Anyhow, I have been searching for things to entertain me.  I have chosen to enter the Deloitte featured photo contest.  Here is what I have submitted!

Sqaushed moth, taken by Naomi in Hong Kong

Colorful lizard, taken by me in Hong Kong

Los Angeles at dusk (lole i really called it that), taken by David in Los Angeles

man!  sometimes i just do not know what to do with the artistic soul within me.  it is just so good!

Lately, I have been thinking about many things in the past.  I think this occurs when one has an abundance of time to do zero things.  Thus, I have decided to implement a new section in my xanga entries.  It will be called "Nostalgia!:  Reflections on things I miss".

Nostalgia!:  Reflections on things I miss:

For today's inaugural entry, I would like to call attention to Frankenberry cereal, of General mills fame.  What a fantastic cereal.  Look at it!  I believe they still have it in the stores but I think our family stopped eating it around '89.  It wouldn't be the same if I ate it again.  I think that is the problem with missing things from childhood.  It is just never the same.

Yee family trivia:  Each Christmas, the gifts get more and more sparse.  Yet another bitter thorn in the continuation of life.

Office

i got this in an email from one of the coworkers and i wonder if i can share it with you on xanga

could you see it!  look at him!  if he were my boss he would show this to you and be like "this is the sort of thing we do at the workplace...so we have a laugh while we're getting our work done...sue me!"  lole.  he is an entertainer third.

anyone understand!

i made that just now.  on the computer.  i gotta go i'll do a yee trivia next time.
